Hospitalizations fell again but the number of high-risk cases is up slightly according to Hastings Prince Edward Public Health’s latest COVID-19 dashboard.
As of Wednesday, seven people were in hospital, down from nine on Monday.
The number of people being treated in intensive care is unchanged at two.
Another death has been added to the dashboard meaning 45 people across the two counties have died from the virus since the start of the pandemic.
There were 87 new high-risk cases Wednesday bringing the number of active cases up to 179 from Monday’s 175.
Active outbreaks in high-risk settings also increased by two to nine.
Eighty-three percent of Hastings-Prince Edward residents aged five and older have received two doses of a COVID vaccine while almost 88,400 have received booster shots.
There were eight new high-risk cases today in Northumberland County where 31 cases remain active.
