As many people get outside to enjoy the warmer temperatures this week for March break, Belleville Police Service is reminding us to stay safe around waterways.
Rapidly warming temperatures and rain means waterways will be rising and the ice is unsafe.
Belleville police have received several calls for service regarding people on the ice and youth close to the waterways and are encouraging parents to speak to their children about avoiding waterways.
