The number of people in hospital locally with COVID-19 infection is down from Friday and so is the number of outbreaks in high-risk settings.
Monday Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reported nine people in hospital with two of them being in intensive care.
At last report Friday there were 10 people hospitalized with three in the ICU.
The number of people who have died from the coronavirus remained the same, at 44 since the pandemic began.
The number of outbreaks in high-risk settings Monday was six, down from Friday’s seven.
The number of active infections in Monday’s report was 175, unchanged from Friday’s report.
Meanwhile 83% of Hastings-Prince Edward residents aged five and older have received two doses of vaccine and 88,295 have received booster shots.
Twenty-five new high-risk COVID-19 cases were reported Monday in Northumberland.
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit reports 38 active cases.
