Five more people working for the City of Belleville are on the so-called sunshine list of employees earning $100,000 a year or more.
The report which will be in front of Belleville council later today shows 172 people on the list, up from 167 a year ago.
Of those employees, 78 are with the police service, 54 are with the fire department, 39 with the city, and one works for the public library.
Former Chief of Police Ron Gignac made over $207,000 while current Chief Mike Callaghan earned over $205,000 last year. Former Fire Chief Mark Macdonald made over $168,000 and Belleville’s CAO Rod Bovay earned just over $191,000.
