Hastings Lennox & Addington MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman has been appointed to the Conservative Party of Canada’s Leadership Election Organizing Committee.
The committee sets the rules and regulations that govern the ongoing Conservative leadership race.
Kramp says she is honoured to be the only sitting Member of Parliament on the committee.
“The role of LEOC will continue to evolve as the leadership race progresses,” says Kramp. “As a result of this continued work, I will be remaining neutral for the entirety of the leadership race as mandated by section 6.2 of the constitution of the Conservative Party of Canada. I am eager to continue to serve the party, its members, and caucus in this important role, and look forward to working with the next Prime Minister of Canada in September.”
