A high honour for a Brighton man was presented Wednesday afternoon.
Greg Kobold was awarded the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers at his home by Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Elizabeth Dowdeswell.
Kobold has been a volunteer with the Royal Canadian Legion for the past 36 years.
He worked to break the isolation of retired military personnel by visiting them and ensuring they have access to quality services. He has also helped during the poppy campaigns.
