Homes are still selling like hot cakes across the Quinte region.
The Quinte & District Association of Realtors reports 305 sales last month, a 3.7% increase over February 2021.
Association President Valerie Miles says residential sales haven’t hit this level in the month of February in five years.
Home sales were 36.2% above the five-year average and 48.3% above the 10-year average for the month.
Home sales for the first two months of the year are also up 17.9% over 2021.
The average price of homes sold in February 2022 was a record $774,689, a jump of 32.6% from February 2021.
Miles says overall inventory is still hovering only slightly above the lowest level on record.
There were 349 new residential listings in February 2022, a decrease of 9.1% from February 2021.
The dollar value of all home sales last month was $236.3 million, an increase of 37.6% from the same month in 2021 and a record for the month of February.
