A new roof will be installed this year on the King Edward Park Arena in Brighton.
On Monday, council approved the lowest of 11 tenders for the job to Dafoe Roofing of Belleville.
Dafoe’s tender was for $342,133 plus HST.
The highest bid for replacement of the flat roof was $696,000.
Meanwhile, Brighton council has decided to have staff perform civil marriage ceremonies in the near future.
A fee for the service has yet to be determined but generally runs between $200 and $400.
