We have an update on the Stand With Ukraine event held Saturday at Belleville’s Market Square.
One of the organizers, Myroslava Symonenko says $12,000 cash was collected and 20 skids loaded with clothing, medical supplies and other items were donated in just four hours.
The cash will be used to purchase military protective gear for those fighting in Ukraine and the clothing will be sent to a charitable organization working there.
The event was put together in just a few days.
