OPP LAY SEVERAL FIREARM-RELATED CHARGES
On February 20, 2022 officers from the Bancroft OPP responded to the report of a dispute at a residence on Monck Street in the Town of Bancroft.
While investigating the incident police observed numerous firearms not properly stored. Officers seized numerous firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
Further investigation revealed that persons who resided at the residence did not have a valid licence to possess firearms.
On February 25, 2022 the Bancroft OPP executed a search warrant at the residence and seized several firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
Jonathon Rallison, a 27-year-old of Bancroft has been charged with the criminal offences of:
- Possession of a weapon for dangerous purpose
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm (12 counts)
- Breach of firearm regulations – store firearm or restricted weapon (15 counts)
Bradley Rallison, a 58-year-old Bancroft resident has been charged with the criminal offences of:
- Knowledge of unauthorized possession of firearm (12 counts)
- Breach of firearm regulations – store firearm or restricted weapon (two counts)
Both accused persons have been released from custody and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Bancroft, Ontario on March 22, 2022 in relation to the criminal charges.
