A controversial Member of Provincial Parliament is leaving politics after 15 years.
In a Facebook post, Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston Independent member Randy Hillier says it’s
time to work for the community and country outside of the realm of politics and will not seek re-election in June.
Hillier has caused controversy throughout his career, facing charges of racism and criminal charges surrounding public events during COVID-19 restrictions.
He was voted out of the PC caucus and most recently has been barred from the Ontario legislature entirely.
