The number of new active cases in Hastings Prince Edward has gone up since Monday.
The Hastings Prince Edward Public Health Unit is reporting 81 new active cases today (Wednesday) and 191 total active high-risk cases. This is down from 237 reported on Monday.
There are also two new deaths being reported in the two counties, bringing the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 to 41.
There are 23 people in hospital, with two in the Intensive Care Unit.
Eighty-nine percent of residents in Hastings Prince Edward aged five and up have received one dose of a COVID-19 shot, while 83% are fully vaccinated.
