The province’s Special Investigations Unit continues to investigate an incident from earlier this month during the demonstrations in Ottawa that resulted in injury to a Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory woman.
Candice Sero was involved in an interaction with a Toronto Police Service officer on horseback on the afternoon of February 18 as police attempted to clear protesters from downtown Ottawa.
The 49-year-old woman was taken to hospital with a reported serious injury.
The SIU tells Quinte News the investigation is ongoing and it is seeking a second person who may have been injured to come forward and contact them.
Footage shows a man in a brown coat who may have been seriously injured.
