Stirling-Rawdon council has approved a rezoning of about five hectares of land (13 acres) to allow future residential development on the northern fringe of the village.
The property had been zoned as marginal agriculture but is within Stirling-Rawdon’s Official Plan urban boundary which allows for more residential.
Another four hectares (nine acres) at the northern part of the land will be zoned permanent agriculture.
Mayor Bob Mullin says the municipality has not received any development proposals for the property.
