(#9 Jake Luccini scores a hat trick in B-Sens victory)
The Belleville Senators subscribe to the old saying “Don’t get mad, get even.”
The B-Sens were definitely mad over their performance in a 6-2 loss to Syracuse on Monday and responded with a 4-1 victory over the Crunch last night.
Jake Luccini led the way with a hat trick and goaltender Kevin Mandolese was excellent with 36 saves.
Mandolese says it was important to bounce back from Monday’s 6-2 loss.
Mandolese was not scheduled to start last night however Filip Gustavsson was recalled to Ottawa while Mads Sogaard is dealing with an injury leaving the B-Sens in need of a backup goalie.

Enter 22-year-old Belleville native Anthony Popovic who made his pro hockey debut last night. This season the Wellington Dukes graduate is playing for the Queen’s Golden Gaels.
Cole Reinhardt also scored for Belleville while Andrew Agozzino and Zac Leslie had two assists.
Coach Troy Mann was pleased with his team’s response following Monday’s loss.
