Quinte West council is backing a higher donation to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation for the purchase of priority medical equipment.
Tuesday council voted to increase its donation to the Foundation by $50,000 a year.
Council is pledging a total of $1 million for new medical equipment, to be spread over five years at $200,000 per annum.
It’s estimated the Foundation should buy about $5 million worth of new equipment over the next five years.
