Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings is helping out some fellow charitable organizations by donating PPE.
A skid of face masks was delivered to Gleaners Food Bank and Bridge Street United Church.
Habitat’s Executive Director Hazzem Koudsi says while the COVID-19 pandemic may be transitioning to endemic and the use of masks may become voluntary, they want to make sure any volunteers or visitors at community-based charities feel protected.
Hand sanitizer was also donated to Pathways to Independence which COO Susan Miles says will be given to their community clients.
The various PPE items were obtained by Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward Hastings using a Government of Canada website that provides surplus materials to charities for free.
