The Wellington Dukes won their third in a row to move into a second place tie with Haliburton County in the OJHL East by walloping the Toronto Patriots 8-2.
Emmet Pierce scored a hat trick by the 12:42 mark of the second period to help Wellington take a 6-0 lead. Pierce also had two assists. David Campbell scored a goal and 3 assists while Jacob Vreugdenhill scored once with two helpers.
Barret Joynt, Ethan Esposito and Corbin Roach also scored in the win.
Wellington plays at North York Wednesday night
