The cause of a house fire on Frankford Road Thursday evening has been confirmed to be electrical in nature.
Quinte West Fire Chief John Whelan tells Quinte News the fire originated around the hot water tank in the basement.
Damages are estimated at $400,000.
Firefighters from Quinte West Stations 4 and 7 responded along with a tanker from Belleville early Thursday evening.
Frankford Road was closed for a period of time while fire crews battled the blaze.
