Belleville police responded to 63 calls for service between 5 a.m. on February 17, 2022 and 5 a.m. on February 18, 2022.
Domestic mischief/pursuit
On February 17, 2022 at 4 p.m., Belleville police were dispatched to the east end of Belleville after a report of a female causing mischief to a residence. Upon police arrival, the female fled in a motor vehicle but was apprehended a short distance later. As a result, 43-year-old Tara Bartholomew of Belleville was arrested and charged with two counts of mischief under $5,000, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to stop after an accident and flight from police. Bartholomew was later released with a court date of March 7.
Theft of tools
Belleville Police Service are requesting the public’s assistance regarding a theft that occurred in the west end of Belleville. Police received a complaint that on February 15, between 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., an unknown suspect broke into a utility trailer and stole numerous work tools.
