The Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre will be seeing some important equipment upgrades in the coming months.
At Monday’s meeting city council approved $191,000 including tax, for the supply of six boilers to be used to augment the centre’s heating system and to provide hot water.
Council accepted staff’s recommendation that the low bidder, Smith Energy Inc., supply the boilers.
Meanwhile council selected Trane Canada ULC to replace an air handler unit in the HVAC system for $62,000.
Meanwhile Greenwood Paving will smooth out several roads as council accepted their bid of $784,000 for surface treatment work.
Roads involved include parts of Hall Settlement Road, Boundary Road, Craig Road, Homan Road, Roslin Road, Short Street, Hoskins Court, and Pine Hill Crescent.
