Hastings Prince Edward Public Health reports eight people with COVID-19 are currently being treated in local hospitals with two in the intensive care unit.
That is down just slightly from Friday when there were nine hospitalized and two in ICU.
Monday’s Public Health dashboard shows 84 new high-risk cases.
There are 381 active high-risk cases, down from 402 on Friday.
Eighty-nine per cent of HPE residents aged five and up have received a first dose of a COVID vaccine, with two doses delivered to 82 per cent of the population.
Fifty-two per cent have received a third dose booster.
Ontario is reporting 1,765 new high-risk COVID-19 cases.
As of Monday, there are 1,369 people in hospital with COVID-19, and 394 in ICU down from 2,155 in hospital and 460 in intensive care a week ago.
