The Greater Napanee fire department has confirmed that animals perished in a large barn fire overnight.
Firefighters responded around 9 o’clock to a dairy farm near Hay Bay, west of the town of Napanee, on Concession Road 3 in Dorland.
The barn was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived.
The damage estimate isn’t known but it will be significant.
Firefighters will remain on scene most of the day today.
