Belleville police responded to 73 calls for service between 5 a.m. on February 10, 2022 and 5 a.m. on February 11, 2022.
Arrested on Warrants
On February 10, 2022 at 11:30 a.m., Belleville police were called to the area of Front St. and Bridge St. in the downtown area regarding a male suspect who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for several bail violations.
Police located the 23-year-old Belleville man and took him into custody without incident. The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on February 11, at 11 a.m.
Domestic Assault
On February 10, 2022 at 5:05 p.m., Belleville police responded to the area of Front St. and Bridge St. E. in regards to a complaint of a woman being assaulted by a man in front of a business. A police investigation led officers a short distance away from the scene, where they located the male suspect and took him into custody without incident.
The 36-year-old Belleville man was charged with one count of domestic assault against a 42-year-old woman. The victim did not suffer any serious injuries and did not require any medical attention. The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear in court this morning, February 11, at 11 a.m.
