A Belleville man won’t do more jail time after being convicted of possession of a dangerous weapon and mischief charges recently.
Dustin Kinmond, 28 at the time of his arrest, was charged last May after a standoff with Belleville police at a Cannifton Road North residence.
Officers responded after reports a man had been stabbed around 1:30 in the morning.
Late last week Kinmond was given a suspended sentence, 18 months probation, and a 10 year weapons prohibition.
He had spent 11 days in jail after being arrested.
