On February 8, 2022 as part of a Controlled Drug and Substance Act investigation in the city of Belleville, Project Renewal arrested 34-year-old male James McFarlane of Belleville for several drug-related offences. A subsequent search of his residence was conducted where investigators located a loaded firearm and ammunition.
The following evidence was located during the arrest and subsequent search of the residence.

10 grams of cocaine

Quantity of pills believed to be Oxycodone.

Loaded .12 gauge shot gun.

Shot gun ammunition.
McFarlane was charged with the following offences:

Possession of a Schedule I Drug for the Purpose of Trafficking X2.

Possession of a Loaded Firearm.

Careless Storage of a Firearm.

Failing to Comply with an Undertaking.
James McFarlane was held in custody pending a bail Hearing February 9, 2022.
