The issue of hundreds of thousands of dollars, proposed to go to the Grace Inn homeless shelter in Belleville, has been deferred to a special meeting of the Hastings County Community and Human services committee.
A staff report was before the committee at its meeting on Wednesday.
It recommends that the county grant of $340,000 go to Grace Inn.
It had originally been designated for a modular home project in Bancroft.
This has been abandoned because the three bids that were received did not meet the county’s qualifications.
That special meeting is expected to take place next week.
