Councillors in Quinte West will have the option to join meetings electronically.
Council approved the by-law during its meeting on Monday night, which will allow councillors to participate in electronic meetings if they provide the clerk 24 hours notice.
Delegates will also be permitted to participate electronically along with remote public input if registered in advance of the meeting.
The number of delegations was also reduced from five to three per meeting.
