Making sure all of Quinte West is no longer underserved when it comes to broadband connectivity was discussed on Monday night by Quinte West city council.
Rogers Service Expansion Manager Neill Kennerney says there are currently 2,200 underserved homes in Quinte West right now but by the time the Rogers broadband expansion is completed, the goal of bridging the digital divide will be achieved.
He said this build will support future growth and the target completion date to have the upgraded services installed is 2024.
Kennerney said the speed will begin at 1.5GB.
