A two-vehicle collision in Tyendinaga Township Saturday evening resulted in several charges, including impaired driving, against one of the motorists.
An eastbound and a westbound vehicle collided in the eastbound lane of Blessington Road around 6 p.m.
There were no injuries but Lennox and Addington OPP say the driver of the westbound vehicle was showing signs of impairment and was arrested.
Further investigation revealed evidence of dangerous driving and uttering threats to cause harm.
Forty-three-year-old Marsel Blackwood of Belleville is charged with:
- Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
- Operation while impaired – alcohol and drug
- Operation of a motor vehicle while over legal blood alcohol limit
- Utter threat
- Drive while suspended
- Drive motor vehicle with open liquor readily available
The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee on March 1.
His licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
