The Member of Parliament of Hastings-Lennox and Addington is describing a protest with two different narratives.
Shelby Kramp-Neuman says she has noticed a shift in the atmosphere in downtown Ottawa, where thousands are protesting.
She says what started off as a friendly protest against mandates, has now turned into a block party with fireworks, loud music, incessant honking, drinking, and even reported intimidation of residents.
Kramp-Neuman says there is a right to legitimate protest, and she supports those who are doing so with purpose, respect, and dignity, but there are many acting in bad faith.
She finished by stating that she will continue to fight for an end to federal vaccine mandates.
