A Prince Edward County man faces several charges following a short police pursuit Tuesday evening in Madoc.
The chase began just after 7:30 p.m. when Central Hastings OPP attempted to stop a possible impaired driver.
Police say the driver failed to stop at a red light at the intersection of Highways 62 and 7 before stopping.
Thirty-five-year-old James Ferguson is charged with flight from a peace officer, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, operation while impaired, theft of a motor vehicle and failure to comply with a probation order.
The accused was held in custody and is scheduled to appear for a bail hearing Thursday.
