Building activity in the City of Belleville in the first month of the year was down slightly over the year before.
The city reports 39 permits with a construction value of $5.8 million were issued in January.
That’s down from 46 permits worth $6.6 million in January 2021.
Ten of the permits issued last month were for new residential construction with a total value of $2.6 million.
