Hastings Lennox & Addington MPP Daryl Kramp say the province is providing almost $1.7 million to the riding for storm and wastewater infrastructure.
The City of Belleville is receiving $664,815 to address the aging state of storm and wastewater systems infrastructure.
Greater Napanee will benefit from $527,480 while $506,497 is going to Loyalist Township.
Kramp welcomes the invesment saying, “We’re a very water-centric riding, with three major rivers feeding into the Bay of Quinte, and many inland lakes that attract boaters, swimmers and year-round fishing — our government is committed to protecting them for current and future generations.”
David Piccini, Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks, says it is part of a total $25 million storm and wastewater infrastructure investment to ensure cleaner water and tackle pollution.
