A 10-year-old girl has died after being struck by a vehicle.
Kingston Police report the student was crossing Lancaster Drive in the city’s west end on Monday afternoon when she was hit by a pickup truck.
The child was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries.
Kingston police along with the Forensic Identification Unit and Traffic Safety Unit are continuing to investigate and the driver is working with police.
No charges have been laid at this time.
The child’s name will not be released.
