The Bancroft warming centre has been relocated.
The new warming centre at 24 Flint Avenue, Bancroft (former Town of Bancroft offices) is now open.
The Town of Bancroft together with Hastings County opened a temporary warming centre at the North Hastings Community Centre as an emergency response to the cold weather warnings being experienced this winter.
After an exhaustive search for a suitable space the Town of Bancroft was able to offer space at the arena as a temporary measure during the emergency shutdown issued by the province of Ontario.
This centre will be activated based on a temperature threshold of –10 degrees Celsius. The centre will open on nights of activation from January 31, 2022, to February 28, 2022 from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
