Quinte West OPP have charged two people suspected of elder abuse.
Officers began the investigation in late August last year after receiving a report of possible elder abuse.
It was reported two people were taking advantage of an 86-year-old woman in an effort to convert the woman’s assets to themselves for financial gain without permission.
Following a lengthy investigation, arrests were made earlier this month.
Eugene Pollard, 66, and Deborah-Ann Pollard, 63, both of Quinte West were charged with theft over $5,000 and obtaining by false pretense.
Both were released and will appear in Belleville court on February 10.
