Tyendinaga Township has determined how it will dispose of Boldrick’s Bridge.
At Monday’s meeting, council directed staff to dispose of the bridge through an online auction with funds received from its sale to be placed in the Roads Department reserve.
The deteriorated bridge on Shannon Road was closed in 2020, removed and stored in the Blessington Yard.
The bridge will be auctioned off on govdeals.ca.
Township CAO Carla Preston tells Quinte New it will be sold as is and and the successful bidder will be responsible for removal.
Staff have not determined a date for the auction but it will be communicated through social media when it is set.
