Northumberland Hills Hospital in Cobourg has received a major donation.
According to Today’s Northumberland, county residents Karol Shaw and Susan Leonard have donated one million dollars to the hospital’s foundation for priority medical equipment.
Shaw and Leonard had originally planned to donate the money to help pay for COVID-19-related expenses but since the province was covering those costs decided to instead have it used to buy medical equipment.
