Seventeen-year-old Lukas Hutchison of Carrying Place has been accepted to play baseball with the Onondaga Community College Lazers in Syracuse New York.
Hutchison is a student at Nicholson Catholic College. He is a right-handed pitcher who also plays the outfield. Hutchison played in the Quinte Royals program for three years before making the Ontario Prospect Under 18 baseball team that plays in the Ontario Elite League.
Coach Ryan Sattz, had this to say about Hutchison’s recruitment to Onondaga Community College, “Very excited for Lukas and his family. Lukas is going to an outstanding program at OCC. In a short amount of time Lukas has put an imprint on our program with having one of the lowest ERAs on our U18 team.”
Added coach Adam Stevenson, “We are super proud of what Lukas has accomplished in such a short period of time with us and can’t wait to see him excel at the next level.”
