2021 turned out be a good year for building in Prince Edward County.
Both the number of building permits and total construction value was much higher last year than in 2020.
In 2021, 1,076 permits were issued with a value of $187 million.
The year before, 836 building permits were granted valued at just $99.4 million.
Meanwhile last month permits were issued for almost $9 million worth of construction.
Plans to build six new homes made up almost half of that December total.
