The warming centre in Trenton will be open Monday night and Tuesday night.
Trenton United Church, located at 85 Dundas Street East, will be open from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. for those looking to get in out of the cold.
Visitors must register upon entry and will be screened for COVID. Face masks and physical distancing are required.
Beds and meals are not provided.
The warming centre is activated when the temperature is expected to reach minus 10.
Emergency accommodations are also available overnight this evening, January 10-11, as Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for Prince Edward County.
If you need a place to stay overnight, please call the local Salvation Army office at 613.476.3159 and a representative will help arrange accommodations.
