A 25-year-old Quinte West man appeared in court on the weekend after a disturbance was reported at a business.
Quinte West OPP were called to a local establishment on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road on Saturday night around 9:20 after a report of an altercation in a parking lot.
It was reported someone had used bear mace against a group of people.
Officers arrested James Lang-Lalonde a short distance away and he was also found to be in possession of a small quantity of suspected Oxycodone.
The suspect is also facing charges of assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, administer a noxious thing and failure to comply with a prohibition order.
Lang-Lalonde appeared in Belleville court on Sunday.
