The last month of 2021 showed a moderate gain on housing sales versus the same month the year before.
According to the Quinte and District Association of Realtors there were 238 homes sold through the QDAR system in December, an increase of 5.3%, or 12 sales, over December of 2020, along with a new total sales record for the month at $172.6 million.
Last year was an extraordinary year for sales as well totalling 4,689 units marking a near 25% increase over 2020.
The average price for a single family home in 2021 was $625,524 which marks a 38% increase over the previous year.
