Family dispute
On January5, 2022 at 8:25 p.m., Belleville police responded to a residence on Stanley Street Belleville in regards to a family dispute. Upon arrival police spoke to the parents of a male who was intoxicated and had caused some damage in the residence. The 33-year-old suspect was arrested for mischief. He was later released unconditionally as the parents did not want to proceed with charges.
Domestic Assault
On January 5, 2022 at 11:20 p.m., Belleville police attended a residence on Bridge Street West Belleville in regards to a disturbance. Upon arrival police spoke to a person in regards to an assault. After investigation a 52-year-old male Belleville resident was arrested and charged with domestic assault and two counts of breach of probation. He was held for a bail hearing on January 6, 2022. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
