Construction values in Quinte West last year were up more than $30 million over 2020.
In its final report for 2021, the city’s building department reported 44 permits with a construction value of $8.5 million were issued in December.
In December 2020 there were 45 permits issued but they were only worth $4.3 million.
In all of 2021, Quinte West issued 865 permits worth just over $125 million.
That’s an increase over 2020 when 808 permits with a value of $92.3 million were issued.
