A big new housing development is being planned for the far west end of Belleville.
The so-called Village of Avonlea would sit on close to 45 hectares of land between Avonlough Road and Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
As proposed, the development would feature a total of 695 residential units comprised of 260 single-detached homes, 36 semi-detached, 91 townhouses, 68 horizontal multiple attached dwellings and three or four 4-to-5 storey apartment buildings totaling 144 units.
The City of Belleville’s Planning Advisory Committee will hold a virtual public meeting on the plan Tuesday at 5:30. It can be seen on the city’s YouTube channel.
No decision on the rezoning applications will be made at the meeting.
