Stirling-Rawdon council continued upgrades to hard infrastructure such as its urban water/sewer systems in the past year.
Mayor Bob Mullin says design work has been done and the tender is out for major upgrades at the main sewage pumping station on George Street which will allow the village’s population to grow over the next several years.
But there were some real improvements for residents on the recreational side of things as well.
“We’ve made a lot of advancements within the parks, we’ve got a brand new playground on the Woods Park Drive park. We put in a number of fitness stations along the Heritage Trail and we’ve replaced the two outdoor rink pads with new concrete pads.”
Meanwhile, a fifth municipal well is almost ready to go to serve residents in the village, allowing more flexibility for maintenance and replenishment in all the other wells.
