Environment Canada has put a freezing drizzle advisory in effect for:
- Belleville – Quinte West – Eastern Northumberland County
- Cobourg – Colborne – Western Northumberland County
Freezing drizzle is expected to hit the region this evening between 5 and 6 p.m.
Periods of freezing drizzle may result in a thin layer of ice accretion or build-up on untreated and elevated surfaces.
Freezing drizzle is expected to end overnight.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down when driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas.
