Quinte Health Care will be able to address a host of critical equipment needs thanks to a $1.1 million cash injection from the Belleville General Hospital Foundation. The most recent instalment was exchanged this week, as the Foundation wraps up its 2021 fiscal year. The funds will be used across multiple departments within the hospital to purchase new priority medical equipment and replace equipment that is nearing its end of life.
BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook said, “In a turbulent year the community has shown, once again, the passion and commitment necessary to keep our hospital strong. Recent events and campaigns have seen incredible support and we can’t thank our donors enough for their generosity.”
As the region heads into the fifth wave of an unpredictable pandemic, Quinte Health Care President and CEO Stacey Daub added, “The community’s dedication, commitment and courage this year deserves our deepest gratitude and admiration. Our Foundation partners help shape the care patients receive across the Quinte region and beyond. We are immensely grateful for the continued support.”
Donors are reminded there is still time to make a donation towards the Foundation’s Annual Christmas Angel Campaign. Friday, December 31 sees the end of the Foundation’s financial year with donors encouraged to make a charitable contribution in order to receive a tax credit on their 2021 return.
